We all hear/see...the inevitable 50 posts a day asking, "What coin should I buy/invest in???" "How do I do research???"
Feel free to copy and paste this next bit if you agree... (no credit needed, I make this ship up as I go along...)
Spend a day on Youtube searching crypto topics. At least 8 hours a day for two or three days. Don't buy anything until you can look at the graphs, white papers, trends, and long-term potential with a good feel for just what they all mean.
After all, that, Do more research...
Sounds like a lot of work, huh? Well, If it makes you realize even a $5000 gain over the next year, what did three days cost you?? Don't ask what to buy. Learn how what, and when to buy.
If there were, we would all own that coin... Kind of like how most of us have some ADA, CRO, and a few others...
I don't put too much credibility in those predictions. Most coins have a virtually unlimited supply and very little actual demand. ETH, I guess, is an exception, there seems to be a lot of need for it, and the collection is being burned or held off the market, creating a supply shortage. But as you can see, ETH has dropped along with the rest of crypto these last few weeks, though usage has not, so it's hard to even with ETH to see a proper supply and demand equation in place.
Nope. As of today, most of the crypto price is just market sentiment. It's worth whatever people believe it's worth; nothing more to it than that. That may change in the future...but for now, there's an almost unlimited supply of everything and little genuine demand. Most buying is done on the theory that someone else will pay more later.
No one thing does a good project. Some pieces being put together as planned do a good project.
RESEARCH:
So if you have a new project and have done your "RESEARCH" and feel that it's something you want to invest in or trade, then make a move.
The "Market Cap" might be just a few million on new projects. If you feel that this project could be much more, that would mean more people are putting their money into this product, so that influx of cash will increase the market cap, which, in turn, increases the price.
If I'm not mistaken, the market cap is the value of the number of shares or coins x the price.
