They took $580 out of my account (literally within one minute, they robbed me of $580 I had in various coins- drained me dry). After 3 hours on the phone, I got nowhere.
They sent me $50 and $10 when I kept complaining. They keep giving "rationale" for why they reversed a transaction from which I gained the $580. So basically, just be warned they can do whatever they want with your money (change trades and take your profits), plus when they are done, they will spit in your face and tell you to go away. I guess this is how they pay their employees and founder. I am here to warn as many people as I can. I am NOT seeking advice as I have already started filing a lawsuit in my county's small claim court to recover.
what COINBASE has unfairly stolen from me.
Noah Bodhi, it only depends on if your courts have jurisdiction over coinbase, more than not.
The customer service is exceptionally incompetent and doesn't care. It takes a very long time to respond as well. That, combined with many other issues, is why I went to crypto dot com.
Neil Meyerhold:
I have concluded that Coinbase can pay their employees and executives and keep the lights on at Coinbase by stealing money from their customers, so it is not part of their schedule to return the money they have already stolen from a customer. Simple as that.
I had that email verification, too, people were talking about. I transferred it out after seeing all the sketchy comments.
I suspect there's more to this story. Either the funds didn't clear from your bank, or you tried to take advantage of the Glen fiasco, which failed. I've been using Coinbase for a fair amount of time now, and I've never had them just up and decide to take money out all because they could.
Let me guess, you didn't turn your liquidity up, so the transaction took a while and only got processed once the value had dropped as other customers paid a higher price to have their transaction processed first good reminder that you want that transaction processed; now, turn the liquidity up.
I am uncomfortable with Coinbase as well. I placed a Buy Limit order, and then I canceled my order.
Coinbase stopped all transactions on my account until I put the money in my coinbase account that I would have needed for the Buy Limit order (even though it was CANCELLED).
I tried phoning MULTIPLE times and NEVER reached anyone. I sent email after email and only received CANNED emails back.

Ya... Dood, you can't sell or trade on a glitch and hope to keep the profits. Glitches happen. Look at what happened last week. If everyone who took advantage of a glitch got to save money, it would kill a lot of companies.
This is why EVERY exchange has a wait time on cash withdrawal to let the funds settle and be sure everything is correct.
The money that CB took was never yours. Pull up your panties and keep grooving...
