I wanted to share something that can sound crazy to most people who’ve been in crypto for some time now, OR it might not sound crazy to others lol…OK, here it comes public
admittance of the greatest sin of the crypto world:
A few days ago, I sold all my Bitcoin (well, Bitcoin shares, as I did not have a whole one anyway)
The reason is that I have been following specific tokens for projects that I didn’t buy in at all and was learning more and more about their future potential and how they can dominate in this crazy crypto market.
Tbh, I could’ve taken a risk back then and bought into them, but being new to crypto and not a person who dives headfirst without knowing the depth of what I’m diving into. I was not rushing to buy them (knowing it might cost me dearly)
I looked into it and didn’t have LUNA, RMRK, or AR tokens.
I had Render already but not enough as I would like.
After days and nights of thinking, during this dip, I ditched BTC, got my profits from other tokens that did very well for me, like Solana, ETH, and SAND, and used this to buy the ones
I didn’t have any at all, as mentioned above.
I’m up to over 25% in a couple of days and am ongoing doing that switch.
Remember that what I bought will be a permanent part of my portfolio, so it’s not a short-term thing.
I plan to buy back BTC, but what was evident to me at this point is that I did not think that my crypto portfolio was looking healthy without these players.
Yes, BTC is a store of value and is the golden crypto, but look at it this way, at this point of the crypto market, to make giant leaps, it’s not going to be BTC anymore.
BTC is the haven where you ‘park’ your gains from the crazy adventures you take through your crypto journey.
The crypto market has evolved in such ways that what it has to offer is far beyond a coin that can be just a …coin.
The Crypto world now is an opportunity for common Janes and Joes like you and me to be the first participants in projects that can change the world.
Something that until recently, only Venture Capitals or giant corporations would’ve been on it in closed meetings before these projects launched, and then, we, the ordinary people, will be nothing more than users, validating their investments and making them more prosperous and nothing for us.
Imagine, for example, a Master card or Visa card back in the sixties when they approached people with the idea of using a plastic card instead of paying in cash.
I am sure they were getting responses that it is undoable and that CASH IS KING, or “What idiot would go into such a scam?” kind of talk.
Then when these cards started getting used, does anyone remember how stores used a weird machine that used carbon copy papers to copy the card info and submit it by mail to get paid later by the credit card company, a process that takes weeks at most?!
Now you swipe your card, or even the newest is ‘tab’ your card, and your entire transaction is finalized in a couple of seconds.
Back then, Master cards or VISA did not approach people to be part of these visions of how to use their cards and the technologies behind them as investors, but as a tool to validate their ambitious plans for wealth.
Now, we live in days that allow us to be part of future successes and future gains and “ownership” through crypto in the advancement of this space that is certainly in a race to make another leap.
Of course, nothing comes risk-free. That’s the name of the game.
So if you want to join future rich players, you must put on your big boy pants, roll up your sleeve and be ready for the craziest roller coaster ride.
Some will puke and jump out. Some will sit tight and swallow it in, lol.
But the most important thing to remember is that you will hear so many things before you get on that ride, but you cannot follow blindly and never get rushed in without fully understanding what you are getting yourself in.
In other words, take the sentence “Do Your Research,” abbreviated DYOR, very seriously.
Once you have done so and understand the risks yet have the confidence in what you invested in, the ride will be fun, and you will scream out of enjoyment, not fear.
